Product Description
The Cokin soft-edge 3-stop graduated Neutral Density filter helps darken specific areas of the image, like bright skies, while leaving other areas of the image unaffected. The filter is most dense at the edge and tapers to clear at the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition. A Neutral Density filter with a soft-edged line of transition is useful for images with an undefined horizon line, like mountains or city landscapes. Neutral Density filters do not affect the color of the image while creating a more balanced exposure.

Cokin filters were invented by professional photographer Jean Coquin. By using square filters like Cokin's, which fit into a holder and are attached to a lens via an adapter ring, the photographer has a number of immediate advantages. There is no need to duplicate filters to fit different size lenses, up to three filters can be used at once to create unique effects, and the photographer has control over the positioning of the effect on the photograph.
